About Us

The Orange Blossom Tennis Association is a social tennis group for LGBT players and their allies in Orlando, Florida.
The purpose of OBTA is to provide a healthy and positive atmosphere for men and women of all economic, racial, and sexual backgrounds to play recreational and competitive tennis and to provide other planned activities for group members, guests, and friends.
We sponsor a variety of events — both social and competitive.

Round Robins

A Round Robin is conducted every Sunday morning starting at 9am. The round robin is generally held at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, but if courts are unavailable there we will post an alternate location on our Facebook page. Sunday Round Robin is doubles-only with "Draw-a-Card" and "Level" being the most regular formats of play. Draw-a-Card ensures that the doubles teams vary round to round, and Level round robin formats divide players by skill level for more competitive match play. Singles matches are only played when there is an odd number of players present.

OBTA hosts the Orange Blossom Tennis Championships every spring. OBTA also sends teams to compete against the other Florida GLTA-affiliate clubs for the Sunshine and Florida Cups at rotating venues.
